Names from Charles Dickens books

As one of the greatest British writers of all time the works of Charles Dickens have never been out of favour. To many Victorian Britain is synonomous with the Dickensian world which this great author wove.

To some extent the names from Dicken's novels represent the pick of those from Victorian times and many of these are regaining popularity. Whilst the author often combined these names with amusing surnames they can work equally well with everyday names too.

It is worth noting that many of Dicken's characters were known by their diminutive names such as 'Kit', 'Merry' or 'Pip'
